Daniel Hernandez, professionally known as Tekashi 69 or 6ix9ine, rose to fame in 2017 with his viral hit "Gummo" and has retained a spot in the media ever since. 

 

6ix9ine was involved in multiple "beefs" with other celebrity rappers including, Trippie Redd and Chief Keef. 

 

6ix9ine's is most infamous for being involved in a child sex charge from 2015 and most notably, being charged with Federal RICO and firearms charges. 

 

As of today, 6ix9ine is currently serving a 2 year sentence.

A$AP Rocky made headlines in summer 2019 after being arrested in Sweden. He was held for 2 weeks under investigation for assault. A$AP Rocky claimed self-defense. He was found guilt but did not have to serve any jail time but did have to pay a fine.

Lil Nas X

American singer-songwriter and rapper, Lil Nas X, rose to fame with his hit single "Old Town Road." He first performed "Old Town Road" on the video sharing app Tik Tok and it went viral from there. The song charted and remained number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 for 19 weeks.

 

Lil Nas X came out as gay over summer 2019 and is the first person to do so while having a number 1 hit.

21 Savage was arrested and detained by U.S. ICE early this year due to an expired visa which expired in July 2006. 21 Savage was released with pending deportation hearing that has since then been postponed indefinitely.

R. Kelly made headlines in 2019 with the release of Lifetime's docuseries titled "Surviving R. Kelly," which detailed allegation of sexual abuse by multiple women. Facing backlash from the docuseries, RCA Records dropped R. Kelly from the label. 

 

In July 2019, R. Kelly was arrested and charged with Federal sex crimes and obstruction of justice, facing 18 total charges.
